COOPER CITY, FL -- Somnomedics (USA) announced the approval by the FDA of its Somnoscreen electronic sleep monitoring system for sale in the US. Previously, the system has been sold in Europe where the company claims it is the fastest growing device of its kind. The palm-sized device monitors sleeping-related disorders, such as potentially life-threatening sleep apnea conditions. Results can be monitored in real time or later uploaded to a PC wirelessly. The company states there are over 750 devices currently in operation worldwide.
